Social Stratification in the United States

Really enjoying my sociology class.  I thought the following quote from, Sociology Matters (pg 138) worth sharing. 

 "One way for the powerful to maintain the status quo is to define society's dominant ideology - the set of cultural beliefs and practices that supports powerful social, economic, and political interests.  From a conflict perspective, society's most powerful groups and institutions control not only wealth and property but the means of influencing people's cultural beliefs through religion, education, and the media" (Abercrombie et al, 1980, 1990; Robertson 1988).

So Rahm used a politically unacceptable word and now must quickly perform damage control. In my opinion, he's going to meet with various leader within the disabled community who sway the thinking of the disabled community. They're gonna make him jump through some hoops. They'll be sure as to not set any of the hoops on fire for sure. In essence, he'll probably get a pass. Why, cause that be the times we lived in. Clean water does not flow from dirty welsl. The problem with U.S. politics is that the well is dirty. Clean water can only flow from a clean well. Whatever proceeds out of an individual's mouth especially in casual conversation is most surely what is in that individuals heart.

Dear friend, this is the same type of thinking and speaking that was overlooked in Germany and gave way to the rise of Hitler. An entire populace thinking, if I can get mine, and it doesn't directly affect me then, give me the remote and refill my glass.

On another note: I was listening to a well know Houston Minister. He compared the passage of the healthcare bill to that of David returning the arc. I though to myself, how sad the black community falling for the OKEY DOKE once again. Freedom is being absorb by the beast mixture of iron and clay. Ochlocracy, Ocher. The pale horse has started it's ministry.

BlogCatalog - Palin and Fox

I was amazed with the type of responses received when I polled BlogCatalog with the question of Governor Palin taking the job at Fox News. Usually I can obtain a feel for public sentiment from the site. The tend to do a pretty good job filtering out the trolls. After reading a few responses, I've come to the conclusion that I still may be correct in my assessment of the Trojan Horse Theory. It's the old adage, "Keep you friends close but keep you enemies closer".

The majority of comments made at the site were positive about the position, believing it would afford her with important exposure. I'm often suspect at the opinion and the decisions made by the majority except when fleeing from some type of natural/national disaster. There's something about the mass consciousness's ability to be right on when in survival mode. Sadly, on many random insignificant issues where the outcome isn't obvious, I tend to question or not agree with the majority. Why? Because the little foxes eating grapes at the lower levels destroy the vine. (Song of Solomon 2:15)

For most of my life, I have been self-employed. My parents were self-employed. My grandparents were self-employed. I'm not against working for others but, I have always lived my life adhering to two basic principles in regards to working for others. 1. No one does anything for nuthin. 2. Don't trust anyone, especially the boss.

I myself interviewed for a job with a major firm yesterday. My prospective employer asked me if I wanted to ask any candid questions. I stated, "Do I have to put on a mussle and stay in the barn?"

I heard a joke yesterday that said, "You know it's gonna be a good day when you're eating you morning breakfast and you notice you're boss's face on the milk carton...lol...that's bad...lol

There's a tactic used in Pro Sports whereby organizations will hire players that they consider threats to the organization then bench them.

Consider Heisman Trophy Winner Andre Ware. He rarely got off the bench.

With all the back room deals and subversive tactics of this current administration, one can only hope that the new job works out good for Mrs. Palin. Personally, I feel that the White house is way to concerned with controlling the media. Such a thing I've never seen in my entire 55 years in America. Me thinks the media powers are way to controlling of public opinion. What happened to the concept of, "if it bleeds, it leads."

I also feel that Governor Palin should in no way subjugate herself to McCain for the good of the GOP. It appears to me that they don't have her best interest at heart. I wouldn't trust them a bit.

My advice, don't let them offer you a ton of money and then bench you. But, who am I but just another dummy who voted cause Obama looked black.

Don't Want to Piss Off any Blacks!

A conservative media analyst says the mainstream media will once again be demonstrating its bias if it quickly ends its coverage of Harry Reid's controversial race remarks like the White House wants.

The new book Game Change recounts how Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) in 2008 described then presidential candidate Barack Obama as a "light-skinned" black American with "no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Reid issued a statement Saturday, saying: "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans, for my improper comments."

I think it's funny that mainstream media are being urged to give this story the cobash. I thought media's main premise was "If it bleeds it leads!" and "Who cares about truth, make sure you spell the names correctly!"

My Spider senses are telling me that the media wants to kill the story before people wake-up and realize that it's the truth. Who cares about truth? We have a black president.

Immediately after the election of America's first President that appeared to bear the resemblence of a black american, I noticed how many foreigners were so happy for us. It reminded me of a couple of old saying that I learned as a child.

1. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Obama started immediately apoligizing for American, invention, ingenuity, pride, fortitude, ect... These are benchmarks on which our country is founded on. Obama at one time stated that our nation is not a christian nation while attempting to appease Turkey. Like Global warming, the christian heritage of our nation is without debate.

2. "No one does anything for nothing". Where do you thing all the free stimulus money is coming from. We're not taking it from the folks who we're fighting over oil with. We're not demanding it from the countries loading us down with illegal immigrants.

Now as time has elapsed, we see Obama increasing ties with muslim religion and socialist ideologies. More than ever we need to pray for America. Pray that America doesn't follow the path of many past civilizations who failed because of trusting in men rather than God.

When Hollywood Cringes...

I was reading a couple of blogs today and noticed an article stating that Angelina Jolie thinks Obama is a socialist. I guess motherhood has caused her to appreciate some of her father's views. I seem to remember Jon having similiar views of Obama. It's good to know that all of Hollywood hasn't adopted the views of the radical leftist.

With the media supporting the current administration, freedom and liberty is dangerously at stake. While we celebrate the many blessings God has bestowed on us during the holidays, Let's take a few minutes and thank him for living in a nation where we can come together and expell those who pervert righteousness. Thank him that this is still One Nation, Under God, With liberty and Justice for all. Thank him that we can still proclaim Jesus as the only true way into heaven. We should thank him that we live in a country where we don't have to submit to the religous views of others. Thank him for the right to choose whether or not we even want to submit to a doctor's recommendation.

We as a God Fearing nation must humble ourselves, come together and ask God for the healing of the greatest nation on earth. We don't need a President traveling from nation to nation appeasing those who have not our best interest at heart. And, contrary to what mr. president stated....we are not a muslim nation but a Christian Nation! We follow a God who controls the keys to life and death. No other people on the earth except for the followers of Jesus worship an individual to died and rose again. We serve a living God while they serve gods who are not gods and who are dead.

I was talking to a guy I know who works as a pharmacist earlier today. I asked him what he thought about our country slowing morphing into socialism. He said, " I keep hearing that, what does all that mean? I really don't see what the big deal is."

We Americans don't have any definite thoughts of our own about anything. Depending on what you're thinking, we probably agree. It's just these third party individuals that we need to figure out how to deal with. What ever we can do to make you happy is fine.

After listening to hear speech, I started getting this strange feeling that this obscure third party entity she kept referring to is the america as we knew it. The america that doesn't want any part of all the global lies currently being fed to mankind like Jim Jones Kool-aid.

It's almost as if she was saying.....'Lookie here, If you can figure out a way for me to subjugate those who I represent and keep them under control, I'm all for it.

What I can tell is that a guy walking 10-20 feet ahead of us said to the guys in purple shirts (SEIU members, as I understand) "you attacked him!" and "you're going to jail!" The guy who said he was attacked (light brown short sleeve collared shirt) said he was just out there selling something (I think "Don't Tread on Me" flags).

One black conservative was seriously hurt outside the event.The Post-Dispatch reported:

St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.

Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don't tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack.

Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started. “It just seems there's no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said.

Farewell Michael Joe!

Once again time stopped as the world turned it's attention to the The Great Michael Jackson. I remember watching an interview of Michael years ago. This was when he was in his early twenties. Michael actually sang all the parts to a song that he was currently working on. It was amazing to watch and hear. He literally sang all the parts at one time. I'd never seen or heard anyone do something so impossible.

I remember when he first was introduced. Even then we kids could tell that he was special and a real music prodigy. The quarter parties didn't start til Michael's 45's were on the turn table. It was the same time we were listening to Marvin sing that he was too busy thinking about his baby and Stevie was singing about My Cherie Amour. Smokey was singing Baby, Baby Don't Cry and James was singing Mother Popcorn. Then along comes this youngster with all the pipes, licks and moves as seasoned professionals. It made us feel like anything in life was possible. We were like "Gone Mike!" "Way to go! Far Out!" It was a special time full of hope and magic.

I remember when I first heard the news that Michael wasn't breathing and that attempts were being made to resuscitate him. I thought to myself.....he's going to get a glimpse of heaven and decide not to descend back into the confinement of the earthen vessel again.

Michael possessed a special gift. He world was full of magic yet troubled with extreme pressures. While watching the memorial today, I noticed many who spoke at Michael's memorial were close friends who really loved him indeed. A few profiteers slipped in and filled their commentaries with I this, I that, When I, I, After I, I, I, I, I........

Michael's biggest foe was that he had become a world commodity. He demanded world attention and world attention is a very expensive commodity. Many felt that his money was theirs and his unmatched talent was an opportunity to gain instant wealth. We live in a world where it's the natural order to battle over resources. Michael was indeed a human resource and I'm sure the truth about the manipulation of him and his monies will never fully come to light.

The intentional destruction of America

It's time for Americans to consider a very scary possibility – that the president of the United States and the Congress are actually embarked on an intentional plan to destroy most everything that throughout history made the country great and unique.

Could it be that the sweeping, wholesale policy changes we have seen implemented and begun in the last six months are not just "mistakes" or the results of miscalculations? Could it be that the clear intent is to bring America down – and that those controlling America's political future know exactly what they are doing? Could it be that those holding the levers of power in Washington are not just ill-equipped for their jobs and making bad choices, but that they are determined to destroy America's economy and culture because they don't like it, never liked it and wish to see our nation operate more like the rest of the world?

Personally, I'm there. I've been there. There is not a doubt in my mind that people like Barack Obama, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the like just plain think differently than, say, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and James Madison – not to mention me.

The contrast in worldviews couldn't be any more striking.
The Founding Fathers, who gave us the greatest experiment in liberty the world has ever known did so by removing the shackles from the people and placing them on the government. They did so because they believed human beings are accountable ultimately to God, from whom our natural rights and responsibilities descended. They sought to strictly limit the powers of government, which had, just as they had throughout history and just as God told us they would in the book of Samuel, result in the oppression of the people.Meanwhile, what do Obama and company offer? They offer servitude to the state under the guise of "security."The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are being actively and openly dismantled as the guiding principles of American government. Sovereignty and independence?

We're told today by Obama and company that we live in an "interdependent" world and that we need to be accountable to "the community of nations." That's just a euphemism for dependence and life in an unaccountable global tyranny – where what you think is not nearly as important as what their elite friends think.

The rule of law? We're told today by Obama and company that the Constitution doesn't mean what it says. It's a "living document" that needs to be constantly reinterpreted in different times. That's not the rule of law. That's the rule of men – or, more precisely, the rule of high priests in black robes who are not accountable to either the will of the people or the rule of law.
Are your shackles being removed by Obama and company? Are you more or less free today than you were before the massive debt burden was placed on you and your descendants? Are you more of less prosperous? Ask yourself if government has been more empowered or less empowered by their actions? Is there any doubt?

Maybe most Americans don't realize this simple equation: That when government gains power, the people lose liberty. But there is not a doubt in my mind that Obama and company understand that principle very well – even if they don't articulate it openly.
What we are witnessing today is perhaps the greatest power grab in the history of America – where power is being taken from the people and usurped by government.

Are we to assume that this is the result of miscalculation or ignorance? That would be even more insulting to Obama and company than the simple recognition that they actually believe in what they are doing – that their actions are intentional, that they are actively and with forethought and planning dismantling the institutions and ideas that made American great and unique.

The Black Advantage and Token Whites

So the brother tried to bum rush me like a pithecanthropus trapped in the thralls of a drug induced geek attack. As he spewed out his poison and verbal onslaught, I though about Gary Busey who long ago prophesied that someday there would be a real advantage to being black. He also stated that he would position himself to be a token white man. My mind wandered off during the discussion. I'm learning that vile communication is rather my bete noire. The refuge and memory of a past joke was a funny happy place to be at the time.

So the President accused Obama of appeasement. Hmmmm..... I think Busey may have a point. Here's a thought. Maybe the rest of the world might not be all together mad at black men. Maybe they might even be willing to talk and negoitiate with a black president who employs some Gary Buseys in his administration. Maybe America's view of the ranking of one's ability based on the color of one's skin is problematic. One thing for sure, regardless of Obama's blandiloquence, he's gonna need some token whites. The sooner the better.

Lazy Niggers and White Trash Honkies

It's was a warm Sunday morning and I was sitting in church daydreaming when the Pastor started his sermon with the following words: "I'm so tired of Lazy Niggers and White Trash Honkies that I don't know what to do!" Boy, did that get the church's attention.

I sometimes wonder how the media would have reacted to my Pastor's message. It definitely wasn't politically correct. It might have been viewed by some as being racist or eristical. With the proper editing it could have been used to cause a string of city riots. I looked around the room full of soigne church members all with stunned expressions. The only member who was unaffected and seemed to lack sentience was our resident lycanthrope who often introduced himself by saying, "I like cats".

I learned many life lessons from my good friend and pastor. I would go as far as honor him with the title of S.T.D., not the worldly definition but Sacrae Theologiae Doctor. I learned that one must remain longanimous in one's pursuit of knowledge. I learned that God rains on the just and the unjust. I learned that everyone who looks like a brother is not necessarily a brother. I learned that some people who don't look like brothers will stick closer to you than a brother.

Personally, I felt this to be my favorite pastor's greatest message. The essence of the message dealt with breaking stereotypes and class restrictions. The pastor stated that one must disconnect from mental, physical, and verbal ownership of one's natural bloodline and be joined to the death, burial and ressurection of Jesus Christ by his blood.  The natural bloodline so ridden with anger, resentment, disease, generational limitations and of course death must be left on the cross with the lamb slain from the foundations of the world.  This natural bloodline passed down from the first man adam must be reckoned dead, buried and ineffective. 

This was no ordinary pastor and this was no ordinary message. In the course of my time working with this pastor I had the opportunity to watch first hand as he raised individuals from the grips of death. I know individuals who are perfectly healed this day by the work of God thru the hands of this great man of God.  I remember traveling with him to a church meeting.  After we left the meeting, we stopped a restaurant for a short time, to grab a bite to eat.  When we left the restaurant and walked outside we discovered that a tornado had blown thru the neighborhood blowing down trees and buildings all around us.

What was interesting about my pastor and personal friend......this man, that I held an tremendous amount of love and respect for.....this man, full of the Holy Ghost and operating in all the gifts of the Spirit of God,......this man, and his powerful, timely message about lazy niggers and white trash honkies, was that..............this man was a white man who had a real heart for God's people especially blacks.

Specious

I was talking to a reporter with one of the local news stations today. At times it seemed like a contest of logodaedaly with no winning edge. The topic of slanted racial stories appeared to be our rubicon serbonian bog. I remarked that one should only believe half of what they see and 99% of what they read and hear, especially on tv and internet. He stated that the latest scoop was Obama's ancestors traffiking in the slave trade. I still believe that he'll win like a siz krieg.

Voting Black!

I'm voting black!

Exit us Ac ta Pro bat....the outcome justifies the act. So what's the outcome that I'm looking for? It's simple, it's that black youth can believe in ascension to the highest office in the land. Black youth of America don't give a doggone hoot about current issues. The role model on a Black American in the Executive Office is worth the gambit of any unforeseen damages caused his political ideology.

Gone are the days of free elections or the excessive power of the executive branch. Today's executive office can't even stop the system from starving a poor girl to death in Florida, even though his brother was the Governor. What happened to erring on the side of life? Today's political system has become to lugubrious to bear.

Why on earth would Obama, just because of his race, automatically be a viable candidate? Why Not? Who actually studies the issues or researches the histories of each candidate?

Many of the anti-Obama peddlers state that his followers are mindless, radical, socialistic, dull eyed, non-thinking voters. And Obama merely appears to their expectation of more government handouts. Yet it was Hillary that dashed to Louisiana to support Tavis Smiley's "State of the Black Union."

In my opinion, this type of manipulative thinking is no longer helping the opposing campaigns. It may cause the lumpen proletariat group of black followers in the various camps to awaken and realize that they have been smitten by Lillith or worse yet a Grand Wizard, since we're name calling.

In a perfect world political leaders are placed into office to herald and carry out the causes of their constituents. Get real! We live in Kakotopia, USA and there's a big show taking place on the world stage. The show is called The Raping of America. The leaders of today have one goal in mind which is to desiccate the minds and spirits of the general populace. Mammon is the force and motivation behind the New World Order. America is like a woman of the night but, unlike most women who work the red light district for hire, she pays her suitors.

So I'll cast my vote for the black youth of America, the political M.J. I hope he makes it to the hoop.

I was watching one of the daytime who's my baby's daddy show, when my mind started to wonder back to the day when I was at the height of my player type career. Back in the day, when I was down to 5 or so ladies, that was considered a slump. lol.....

Anyway, the rules and morals of the day have greatly changed. Sure we indulged in the same debauchery yet, those of us that hung as friends always had certain rules. We never hit on the sisters of friends unless we were considering a serious relationship and we never hit on each others girlfriends without first checking in.

Checking in was a way to prevent misunderstandings. It was basic hood respect. We would say to our friend, "hey bro, yo gal been calling me, she acts like I can get widit, what's up?"

Checking in served two main purposes. One....it served to give a friend heads up so that he wouldn't be tripping if somebody else hitit. Two.....sometimes old boy didn't care, which meant I could hitit should I choose to do so.

The Homegirls in the hood followed the same principles of respect and fair play. Misogynist views were looked upon like easy marks waiting to be minipulated. Some of the girls were good and knew how to work it. Yeap, we had our urban legends. One girl was so bad that she liked to slow dance with the fellas and make them lose themselves in public. She would leave em in the middle of the dance floor smiling, embarrassed and wet.

So anyway, I'm curious. Help me out and take my fidelity poll on the left. What do you do if a friend's spouse hit's on you?

Cornell University Claims Whites Are Genetically Weaker Than Blacks

This should really stir up the pot. A whole new level of black supremacy.

Cornell University has released a controversial study that will accomplish literally nothing more than sowing more discontent among the races, and serve as yet another recruiting tool for white supremacist groups. So let's all pat Cornell on the back, and bask in the racially charged anti-glory that is their latest contribution to useless science.

According to the writer, the only thing proven by the group's study is that the students don't know how to conduct a study. Maybe the actual study is that of determining populace reactions to a skewed report.
